On this day in history, “Eye of the Tiger” from the movie Rocky III clutched the No. 1 spot on U.S. pop charts, where it remained for six consecutive weeks. The motivational tune branded the stimulating film, and it’s not the only one. Sports movies are famous for making their soundtracks something you’ll never forget. After Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) faces the dramatic loss of his trainer Mickey (Burgess Meredith) and his title to young rival James “Clubber” Lang (Mr. T), Apollo Creed helps Rocky get his edge and title back. “Eye of the Tiger” makes us feel empowered as we watch Rocky’s various training sessions with Apollo and his rise back to the top.
2. Remember the Titans: “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye

In the closing credits of the inspirational and true story of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey team, what happened to each member of the team since they won the gold medal is explained.

The classic karate kid, Daniel (Ralph Macchio) shows that he can be the best as he knocks through his opponents to reach the semi-finals in his tournament, surprising everyone.
5. Major League: “Wild Thing”
As Ricky Vaughan (Charlie Sheen) a.k.a. “Wild Thing” walks on the field approaching the diamond, fans of the Indians sing and chant for their favorite player.
